Bring It On sequel is in talks, Gabrielle Union feels like she failed Isis in the original

  • In a interview for the Black Enterprise, Gabrielle Union revealed that several meetings about the development of a Bring It On sequel have happened and that all of the involved (Gabrielle, Kirsten Dunst, Peyton Reed and the original writer) agree that it should be written by a black person and center around her character, Isis.

  • She also shared that she feels like she failed Isis in the original 2000's movie, revealing that she had free range to do whatever she wanted with the character and still chose to make her "gracious" and didn't allow her to express her anger even though she was the victim.

  • Gabrielle even wrote a letter to her Bring It On character in her new book “You Got Anything Stronger?” and also noticed how none of the roles she played in teen movies had last names
