The official Twitter account for The Late Late Show with James Corden has deleted video of the host commenting on BTS' appearance at the 76th United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Monday, following backlash from the K-Pop superstars' fanbase.
ARMY took umbrage at Corden referring to the group as "unusual visitors" to the event, before proceeding to quip that the appearance "marked the first time that 15 year old girls everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary General António Guterres."
Members of the notoriously devoted fanbase expressed disappointment with the one-time "Papa Mochi," who previously appeared to express genuine affection for BTS. After getting wind of the comments, ARMY lowered The Late Late Show's audience rating on Google from 4.2 to 2.5 and called for Corden to apologize.
