Christopher Nolan Bombshell: Director Talking To Multiple Studios On Film He’ll Direct About J. Robert Oppenheimer & Development Of The A-Bomb In WWII https://t.co/1FWI7MAVrd— Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) September 9, 2021
Christopher Nolan is getting ready for his next project.
The film will center on J Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist and member of the Manhattan Project that developed the first nuclear weapon during World War II.
In a not-very-shocking twist, the screenplay is been passed around to other studios after Nolan slammed Warner Bros for their HBO Max hybrid decision. It's unknown if Warner is one of the studios that is reading the screenplay, but it would be major if Nolan went elsewhere as he's been with the studio since 2002's Insomnia.
Source has no casting news but mentions Nolan-fav Cillian Murphy as someone who might be involved.
