Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings debuted this holiday weekened to a knock-out $71.4 million 3-day / $83.5 million 4-day haul. With the pandemic in place, the film was only estimated to rack up $45-50 million. It also shattered the Labor Day weekend record $30.6 million Rob Zombie's Halloween took in 2007.
Candyman took 2nd place with $10.5/$13.4 million, followed by Free Guy with $8.7/$11.2 million, Paw Patrol with $4/$5.2 milion, and Jungle Cruise with $3.9/$5.2 million.
