-If you don't know already, Manifest has been saved for a final 4th season by Netflix which will consist of 20 episodes.
-Netflix and NBC were in a bidding war to see who would pick up the show but clearly Netflix ultimately won.
-NBC offered WB a 12 episode season but wanted them to cut their licensing fee (whenever a network buys a show from another studio they have to pay them $$$ every year which is why CW doesnt buy any non WB/CW shows)
-NBC also wanted a Peacock deal to stream the show.
-Netflix was like "hold my credit card" and offered 20 episodes, $5 million per episode budget (up from $4 million that the show was receiving from NBC), and raises to the cast to entice them back as they were no longer under contract.
-Netflix however is a control freak and wanted to be exclusive so WB had to ensure exclusive rights to the show overseas which meant that WB had to kill any deals they had in place for any foreign channels to air the show.
Should we revisit Buffys epic resurrection on UPN?
