One Twitter user asked, “Is it the pizza? Is the pizza coming back?”
They responded, “I can’t confirm or deny.” https://t.co/uB5VHMXaak pic.twitter.com/xcw4Qos5K2
McDonald's Canada tweeted on Friday that an often-asked-for item was returning on August 31st. The internet went wild naming past foods. They said "I can't confirm or deny" when asked if it was the pizza.
They also acknowledged the pizza as a Heritage Moment, which if you're Canadian, you saw plenty of these commercials in the 1990s/early 2000s.
mcpizza...still just a part of our history, but i’ve been taking notes - social media person pic.twitter.com/tF0BWp91p8— McDonald’s🇨🇦 (@McDonaldsCanada) August 27, 2021
Their social media manager must have realized they stirred up more trouble than they asked for, and then tweeted it's NOT pizza, and has "More spice, less slice." It must be their seasonally-appropriate pumpkin spice latte, if you ask this OP.
