Gwen Stefani changes her name to "Gwen Shelton"

On Thursday (July 15), the No Doubt frontman, 51, and country hitmaker, 45, surprised fans at Shelton’s Ole Red restaurant with an impromptu acoustic set. After Shelton introduced her, the singer shot back with a joke. "I thought it was Gwen Shelton now," she said after he introduced her as Gwen Stefani. (video below).

Why? That’s ugly
No I didn’t change my name — and didn’t hyphenate bc our last names rhyme!
I still can't believe they're together. Really thought it was for the voice but it's like 90 seasons, 5 years, and a marriage later
I see no reason to keep my last name if I got married. You can simply keep one name professionally, if you really needed it. So why the big deal?

And I highly doubt Gwen is dumb enough to change her professional name because she got married, especially if she didn’t do it before, and fuck with her brand recognition.
Of course she did
I've been married for 7 years and I still haven't changed mine, because I'm lazy.
I loathe them together
why she would change her last name when its more memorable and cultural than SHELTON is beyond me

yes, and it was a total fucking pain in my ass after I got divorced to change everything back
I did not change my name which was something that my (now ex-) husband could never get over. Fuck him and goodbye :) So glad I didn't because the headache to change it all back would have been shit.
Seriously? Her last name is the best part of her name...

Now she just has an 80 year old grandma name.
