The Foo Fighters have debuted their new side project The Dee Gees this weekend. Their debut EP Hail Satin is available exclusively on vinyl and contains five covers of Bee Gees classics.
Dave Grohl said about the recording of "You Should Be Dancing": "I have never, ever in my life sung like that, but it was the easiest song I have ever sung in my entire life! I sang the song, and it was like six minutes and I was done. I should have been singing like this for the last 25 years!"
And related, here's Dave Grohl telling Pharrell Williams in the Paramonut+ docuseries From Cradle to Stage that he ripped off old disco and funk songs when coming up with his drum parts for Nirvana’s Nevermind:
I am proud that @foofighters gave us love beyond the call of duty. I am overwhelmed that they would even think about doing this. @FooDGrohl, @taylorhawkins and the rest of you guys, thank you so much. I look forward to us getting together!!! https://t.co/jBWWPn15Ja— Barry Gibb (@GibbBarry) July 15, 2021
