Domino's Japan apologizes to Italy and England over crispy fish and chips pizza

The Japanese branch of the pizza chain is known for its “out there” pizza creations such as tapioca bubbles pizza and triple mayonnaise pizza, but this time they issued an apology to the people of Italy and England.

It all started when an English social media user somehow noticed the culinary option on the pizzeria’s Japanese site, deeming it an insult to those two countries. Which prompted the chain to offer a friendly apology for the perceived affront, but assuring customers that it is in fact, delicious.

The Crispy Fish and Chips Pizza is topped by fried fish and potato slices, basil, tartar sauce, tomato sauce, and actual slices of lemon. The pizza is part of Domino’s special Summer toppings, the other being: 5 Seafood Ajillo, Butter Chicken Curry, and Crispy Chicken Bites & Honey Mustard.
