HBO's I'll Be Gone in the Dark airs follow up recap about the Golden State Killer's sentencing

HBO's I'll Be Gone in the Dark aired a recap special last night focused on the Golden State Killer's sentencing and the survivors' finally being able to speak out in court, despite some of them not being able due to seek justice for the crimes committed against them due to statute of limitations.

Despite Joseph James DeAngelo appearing in court as a very feeble old man in a wheelchair confused by where he was, footage from his prison cell showed him seeming much more alert as he jumped up and off his bed to adjust the lighting. "Schubert [the prosecuter on his case] points out that he’s dimming the fluorescent lights in a similar fashion to how he would drape towels over televisions during his attacks."
