Celebrating African-American Music Month (ft. a lil' playlist)

Good MornTing black people on this beautiful Juneteenth day. OP thought it would be the perfect day to make about how June is Black or African-American Music Month, it's really every month. The month was first officially recognized* by President Jimmy Carter in 1979 to celebrate how Black music and Black musicians have shaped American culture including genres like spirituals/gospels, folk music, blues, jazz, rock n roll R&B and more!

OP has made a playlist to celebrate decades worth of trailblazers, musical genius, spanning all genres from gospel to rock to hip-hop and R&B from past to present. It's just a mish mosh and Black Excellence.
