Christopher Meloni discusses 'great relationship' with cops and more in Interview Magazine

In addition to posing for a series of Polaroids that see him eating burnt pizza, lifting weights and showing off his celebrated ass, Law & Order: Organized Crime's Christopher Meloni addressed an array topics "chosen sort of, but not really, at random" for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.

Below, his response to five of the 17 (mostly) one-word prompts.

On GLUTES: "This is what has happened. I've been blessed with glutes that have an attractive shape. But I have a trainer, and we're going through bodybuilding phases, and where everyone kind of caught me was that I'd been preparing for one year in a very high-intensity weight training program that actually focused on legs. So I guess you could argue that the glute-peeping public are now reaping the benefits of all that hard work."

On 'ZADDY': "I've been called that a lot, and who am I to argue with it? Sure, I'm a zaddy."

On BOUNCERS: "The most miserable job I ever held, but it was either that or starve in New York City... You're there to try to police people who are shitfaced, so you should have a gift for gab, and I'm not that good at that. And I don't have a diplomacy bone, so consequently, there were a couple of times where it got messy."

On COPS: "I don't want to get too heavy, but my relationship with cops is great, and there's no higher compliment than when a cop comes up to me and gives me props."

On ORDERING: "I always want to test the server. I usually find two or three things on the menu that I like, and I'll ask a specific question about how something is prepared, or which is more filling, because I'm usually ravenous. And if it has the threat of being greasy, I ask that question, but not in such stark terms. More often than not I'll say, 'If you were me, which one would you order?' And I appreciate it when they say, 'I haven't tasted that one so I can’t tell you.'"

Wait… ok it’s time for a nap. Had mimosas.
i saw pic of him when he was younger other day and he is probably the only man on earth who looks better with a receding hairline than with hair
Agreed
I did it. I looked it up.

I haven't agreed so quickly to something in awhile...damn.
damn, he was meant to be bald
I mean he doesn’t look any uglier, yeah.

Wanting to test a server is such a dick move.
does he go more into this in the article (that i won't read)? bc this just sounds like him asking what to order.
fwiw, I have friends who work at the coffee shop in Williamsburg he goes to and they all say he's an ass.

You don’t have to have all the answers.”

Honestly I feel like you don’t even need to read more to know that anyone that actively says they like to test servers is a dick

As someone who's worked (and still works) in the food industry, this comment 100% assures me that he's a jerk.
yeah i fucking hate when people ask me which i'd recommend. hardly any because i don't eat meat! just fucking choose something and order it. stop pissing about.

between this and the cop comment, I'm like "are you my dad?"
He has such a good ass
And it turns out he is an ass
He also has a very nice ass.
i mean, i'm not gonna expect a server at a run-of-the-mill fast casual restaurant to romance me with the specials, but at a high end place i prob would ask for the server's opinion if i couldn't decide on something because i assume (rightly or wrongly lol) that at an expensive place, the serving staff have a better knowledge of what they're serving in terms of food and drink.
Yeah for me it would depend on the place/vibe and menu. If you're boasting about farm to table this, or wild-caught that, I feel like I can ask questions to clarify if I have any lol. Or restaurants that change their menus often, set menus, etc.
yeh, the one time i asked something like this of a waiter it was because they kept using the word “biodynamic” on the menu and my mind was very much wondering whet does this mean and why are u charging a premium for it lol

Why didn’t he? I can’t be motivated to watch organized crime, but I liked him and Mariska on the show.
hm i thought the opposite. it got better as the season went on, but it's definitely a departure from the tone of other L&Os
Interview

This is a class throwback to the 90s

I don’t know what is up with their comeback but I don’t think it’s gonna be good…Caroline Calloway is working on a piece for them supposedly 💀
