'Hacks' Season 2 Renewed at HBO Max

Hacks Will Be Back(s) on HBO Max for Season 2.

In a joint statement, [Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky] said, “Many years ago, we set out to tell a deeply important story that needed to be told – that of a handsome, charming talent manager and his two demanding female clients. We’re so glad that story resonated with audiences, and we can’t wait to get to work on season two. See you soon!”

The statement also included this incredible quote from Jean Smart: “I am absolutely thrilled we are picked up for a second season and I told Hannah it’s ‘No more Miss Nice Guy; from now on it’s Bette and Joan! And guess who’s BETTE??!!’”

I'm excited for more Poppy! Thoughts on season finale?

This is up next on my watchlist! I loved Jean Smart in both Watchmen and Mare, so I am excited for this (and glad it's already been renewed, so if I do like it, I have something to look forward to!!).
My god, I love Jean Smart to death but I cannot care about Hannah at all and it revolves around her sooooo much. I get she's meant to be unlikeable but it's so hard to give a crap about someone as awful and entitled as her.
Ditto. I really liked when the show started giving less time to Ava and more time to all the staff and side characters (though I think Ava's slowly growing on me).
I figured she's supposed to get a redemption arc of some sort but wow six episodes in and she's still terrible lol I kinda couldn't keep going after the bender episode

And Poppy is perfect! I wish it was more of her and Marcus tbh - lol and Josefina
Give Jean all the Emmy awards
I cried from the finale. I love this show. I'm so glad it's coming back. Poor Jean Smart though, having to film that finale after what happened with her husband.

As an aside, does anyone know anything about Jeff Ward? He was so cute in the couple eps he was in!

I first saw him (and crushed on him) a long while ago when he made this short with Ezra Koenig’s sister Emma: https://youtu.be/3RDnUUfgf0o

lol this is great! Thank you!
I know Jeff from Agents of SHIELD, he pops up when the team time travels to the future
Yesss! He was so cute — I hadn’t ever seen him in anything before.

he's great in Agents of Shield ! He's supposed to be a jackass the team slowly learns to trust but he's too damn likable
Jean Smart supremacy! God that finale broke me and the wait for season 2 is gonna be unbearable
I love the Jean Smart half of the show but not...the other lead.
I love this show but Ava is the worst. And not even in a fun to watch way.
I love this show but I really, really strongly dislike Ava lol. Kiki is my favorite non-Jean Smart character.
I love Kiki and her whole baby arc in episode 7.

I LOVED this show.

This show is hilarious. The start of episode 7 had me losing it!!! I’d ship it.
I just started this show and I love it
Thanks to this show I very much am attached to Jean Smart. Should I ready the tissues for the finale?

She was ray of light in Mare of Eastown and was a badass in Watchmen. This woman (together with RuPaul Charles) have made my lockdown so much more bearable.
Yaaaay, so excited for this! I'm only on episode 5 so Imma head out before anyone spoils me.
Meg Stalter's character is hysterical
Amazing news!
I can't believe Ava is supposed to be 25yo and Gen Z. She looks like she's in her 30s.
I thought she was older too! She's 26 irl.
i googled and my jaw dropped. i truly thought she was 32. bummer for the gingers.
