Sweden’s Ericsson Globe has been renamed in tribute to the late DJ and producer Avicii.
Now called Avicii Arena, the 16,000-capacity Stockholm venue will host events in partnership with the Tim Bergling Foundation, a mental health charity set up by Avicii’s parents in 2019 after their son’s suicide a year earlier.
Avicii played two sold out concerts at the arena in 2012.
“He would be extremely proud that this iconic building from today will bear his name,” his father said.
