Ridiculous Starbucks Drink Orders Go Viral

It started when a Starbucks barista (Josie) shared a very detailed drink order he made on May 1st. He captioned the image with, “On todays episode of why i wanna quit my job.” Ashley Nicole Black from HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show responded, “I knew it had to be an app order. No one would order that out loud making eye contact.”

ONTD, what do you order at SBux? 👀

I can't stand Starbucks anymore. Their coffee makes me feel sick. I used to just get a Venti Shaken Green Iced Tea w/ sweetener.

Then we got Human Bean and I was going there a lot, but it's pricey too. Their sausage breakfast sandwiches are SO good though.

Now we got a Dutch Bros. I will ONLY go there now. I'd been getting the Dutch Mojito w/ Green tea, last night though we tried the Grasshopper Dutch Freeze. It was so insanely good! 🤤 I like their prices much better.
dude, i am a coffee addict but i got starbucks coffee this year for the first time since i was in college (i would only get passion fruit ice teas) and holy shit. what is in their shit? it must have more caffeine than any other coffee brewer, right? im no newbie to caffeine anxiety, but i was shaking and thought i was going to have a heart attack.
I have been drinking coffee since I was 12 (pulling all nighters for insane school workload but also comfort drink because my mum’s a coffee drinker). I have done some truly dumb shit with caffeine abuse. I am here to tell you that a Venti Americano no nuthin in it almost too me out and my period started early.
When they first released those little Starbucks Doubleshot cans I drank a single can. I wasn't able to sleep for two days, it was AWFUL. I haven't touched one since.

I like a cold brew w I think it’s the pumpkin spice whip? I think it’s only available during fall but that’s my favorite.

Or an iced caramel macchiato, light caramel and like three extra shots
Barf. These people could just save money and drink sugar water at home. My go to Starbucks order is a trenta iced green tea with light apple juice, no cane sugar, & 1 pump of pineapple ginger syrup. I’m not a coffee drinker but I love their iced teas.

When I order extra caramel sauce on top of chocolate sauce on a McFlurry I get questioned. "But there already is chocolate sauce on this?" I would never have the nerve to order what Edward ordered
i order a normal menu drink but i have asked for remakes before when it tasted weird....it's just....it's $6. i wanna actually like how it tastes for that much money. D: but i don't really go to starbucks anymore, thank god
How are people not dying from a diabetic coma. This is more sugar and fat than I have in an entire friggin month, in one drink.
im not a skinny legend but i always wonder how people can consume this much sugar and feel okay. seriously, i eat more than 2 oreo cookies and my stomach feels so sick and i get a nasty headache.
Same. I get only 25% sweetness in my bubble tea and I’m practically bouncing off the walls. How do ppl get 100% or even extra sweetness??? (Which I see on the menu at my usual bubble tea place)
I'm m kind of shocked at how many ppl here won't custom order things. Tbh wild shit like this? Nah, I get it. I worked at taco bell lmao we got orders of over 200 tacos. It's not fun. But easier stuff, customize away imo
i usually rotate between a chai latte with oat milk (or almond when they ran out of oat) or a vanilla sweet cream cold brew with an extra pump of syrup.

i have a massive sweet tooth so if i get an iced coffee of any type i always get it extra sweet, lol. it's why i can't drink regular hot coffee black and avoid drinking it in general because i'll inevitably end up loading it up with sugar.

i just don't understand why you'd spend so much money on these hideous drinks instead of just like, buying your own syrups and guzzling them in the privacy of your own home.
I don't drink coffee but I do love bubble tea...my order for that is pretty simple tho and it's peach w double boba, the place I get it from knows my order and treats me well because I tip well!
There are some things I miss about working at Starbucks, but entitled customers and their bonkers orders are not one of them!!

(Also the expectation to make ~meaningful connections with customers but also get through orders at lightning speed and oh work with only two other people and clean the whole store and place orders and count inventory and and and... It was ridiculous the amount of shit they expected us to do with so few bodies?)

I'm so glad I stopped working there before covid hit, and tiktok drinks and Uber eats and shit. They have sooo much more crap to deal with now, I feel bad for them. My first and last manager (worked apart at different stores for a few years) finally left for a better job last month after nearly 10 years, and I'm sooooo happy for her.

I miss the free drinks and discount tho. And some of my regulars, and making latte art. I think I'd love to work at a small, independent cafe more focused on actual coffee? I worked at a ~reserve bar bux for a year and we had a semi-manual machine where you did have to adjust the grind and tamp the espresso and all that, and I really loved that.
You reminded me the biggest thing I hate in corporations and start-ups especially. This idea of being a minimum wage slave who is supposed to buy-in to a "culture". Where even though you have zero equity, you're supposed to basically be entreprenurial and "take ownership" of treating your job as if you're a small business owner who has to multi-task to "make it work". And it works! So many young people especially get caught up in the brainwashing and spend years of their lives thinking they're part of something great and fufilling. Until they get sick for a couple of weeks or need a schedule to fit around their kid or an older parent they take care of, and find out quickly that they are completely disposable and the disposal will happen heartlessly and quickly.
I spent a year working in food service and it legitimately drove me into a depression. The customers were awful and the whole experience was dehumanizing.

Even before that job I was sensitive to service workers and now I try to be extra kind to them. I also try not to make any substitutions (luckily I don't have any dietary restrictions) so I think the most I ask for is less sugar in my bubble tea on the rare occasions I buy it.
I’m a simple bitch and just love an unsweetened iced latte, even in the winter.
I’m basic and go to Starbucks almost every day if I’m working in a building (sometimes I wfh). I usually just get a grande English breakfast tea latte with 2 pumps sweetener and some sort of pastry or breakfast sandwich. If it’s hot out I’ll get an iced tea or sometimes a frap if I want to treat myself or am having a bad day.

The baristas know me by name at this point but that’s fine. I like to think I’m an easy customer. Just in and out with my mobile order and a friendly hello.
I haven’t been to Starbucks since they got rid of the lime refresher. I don’t like anything else except s’mores fraps so 🤷🏻‍♀️
omg are we twins? i LOVED that drink. but i don't like their coffee so don't really stop unless it's convenient. but they messed up cuz i would get the refresher and a coffee cuz i was there and then have to piss for hours
it was like a non-alcoholic mojito! i loved it too!
