Ridiculous Starbucks Drink Orders Go Viral

It started when a Starbucks barista (Josie) shared a very detailed drink order he made on May 1st. He captioned the image with, “On todays episode of why i wanna quit my job.” Ashley Nicole Black from HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show responded, “I knew it had to be an app order. No one would order that out loud making eye contact.”

Whenever I have Starbucks I get a super sugar high and can't sleep lol so I only get herbal tea there now if I go.

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the people who put in these orders. Also omg the sugar content of some of these drinks...

I have a really hard time ordering the Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso - IT'S TOO LONG! So even though I love it, I usually just go with my regular oat milk flat white because it's short and easy and I don't feel ridiculous asking for it.
I barely know how to order coffee and I don’t understand Starbucks customizations. Did that first person basically order a banana smoothie with a bunch of caramel syrup, chocolate chips, and uh, brown butter? Was there even coffee in this frap?

I can barely be bothered to look at their menu, I can’t imagine taking the time to come up with my own choices
All I see is diabetes. Food service workers in the US don't get paid enough.

At least here in Canada, we were allowed to tell people to leave if they were abusive.

Most problems I had were from Americans coming over here for the casino, to be honest. And meth heads. Oh god, the meth heads.
Haven’t been to Starbucks sind last summer when a wasp flew up my pant leg and stung me. I still have a scar.

Since I take trains everywhere and I have to wear a mask at the station and on the train I don’t really wanna get a drink there then go all the way home to drink it.

Apparently stores are selling out of hibiscus tea here because of a viral TikTok pink drink. I could never find the brand of iced hibiscus tea I like easily and now it’s impossible. Thanks TikTok.
I literally just get a hot/ cold blonde latte bc at least it doesn't taste burnt af. or a toffee nut latte around christmas (will fewer pumps of syrup). I hate that sbux would automatically add syrup to iced lattes like.. did I ask for it? and it tastes like shit.

I don't genuinely like sugar in my coffee anymore. I used to but I started drinking too much coffee so I chose to cut it out so I didn't have to cut down on coffe lol.

But there isn't a sbux that close by so I usually go to costa. Once I told them they burnt the coffee in the iced coffee I ordered and they said that's how it meant to taste and just put sugar that I didn't order in the drink ¬_¬ I reported that bc you can't just go around adding sugar ppl didn't order, what if they're diabetic tf? I always have to order their special roast as well bc their normal tastes like shit. What's up with that???
How does someone figure out that they want 18 different ingredients - 3 of one, 5 of another, etc? Do they start with one and then just keep adding until they get something crazy like this? Are there experiments? “Oh no 4 pumps is too many of the whatever, will only go with 3 from now one.”
It’s a mobile order; I order through my app and all of these customizable options are there. Easy to go apeshit.
But how does someone know they’re going to like it and that it’s not going to be disgusting? Especially the ones that get these same drinks multiple times.
i could never work at a starbucks, or any coffee shop.

It's sounds draining af, and i've got a pretty draining job as it is.
As a former hospitality manager, I would NEVER. I just want a cold brew as it comes. Maybe I order a hot beverage when the holiday menu rolls around.
I only enter Starbucks for too good to go pick ups.
These aren’t drinks, these are shitty meals
I don’t like coffee and the fact that I like Starbucks just tells you all you need to know about Starbucks I.e it’s just sugar and shit masquerading as coffee. I usually get a mocha Frappuccino with no whipped cream and less ice in the summer and like toffee nut latte in the winter. I don’t go very often though as it’s so sweet. If I put even more stuff in it I would have a sugar coma lord.

And this is why I never worked in a restaurant or drink place when I was young and worked at a retail place instead, I’m so clumsy and I would crack under the pressure and probably cry. Feel sorry for everyone who works at Starbucks, it looks so stressful.
i don't have a starbucks in my city and i try to support local coffee shops anyway. they don't offer crazy complex drinks so my faves are salted raf (espresso + milk steamed with vanilla sugar and salt), latte with black currant syrup + cardamom & latte with grapefruit syrup + raspberry powder. it's magic
Those sound so much better!
i don't really go to starbucks so much any more. not because of anything the staff did, mind you. i've just found better coffee elsewhere.
