I think everyone has seen at least 1 Sandra Bullock film, so i took it upon myself to make a very subjective list of what i conssider to be her best films. These are ranked based on the rewatch value they have.
Beware this is a video heavy post
8. The Heat
We've seen this story play over and over again with films like: Rush Hour, Get Smart and Spy, but we still enjoy them (at least i do, lol). You will laugh a lot watching this film.
7. Two Weeks Notice
This film is about a lawyer who is done with her boss treating her like a nanny so she quits and gives him 2 weeks notice to find a new "nanny" basically. The film is very enjoyable to watch mostly thanks to Sandy and Hugh's chemistry. Also, doesn't it feel like The Proposal is the sequel to this?
Look, this is a classic but the reason why i have it at number 7 is because it's 50/50. If you look at the poster it only has Keanu's face in it but since the film has such a high rewatch value and she is in the sequel and not Reeves, i have decided to add it to Sandra list of classics. If you love this duo you should watch "The Lake House" too.
5. Love Potion No. 9
This is another classic that i enjoyed watching a lot when i was a kid. The film is about 2 scientists who are too awkward with the opposite sex so they invent a potion that makes them irresistible to anyone that hears them speak.
4. 28 Days
I guess Sandra wanted to prove that she could be a serious actress with this film? Who knows, what i know is that i used to let the tv on everytime this film played, i think her performance here is better than The Blind Side. The film is about a journalist who is forced to enter a drug and alcohol rehab center after ruining her sister's wedding and crashing a stolen limousine.
3. Practical Magic
The film was a box office flop but once it was available to watch on tv it was like magic, i don't know how to explain it but there's so much comfort to watching this film on a rainy day.
2. Miss Congeniality
This film takes you all the way back to middle school and going to your local vcr store to rent the film and then once it became available to watch on HBO, watch it again, also, i don't know if it had something to do with the times but between "Yo soy Betty, la fea", "The Princess Diaries" and this film, we were obsessed with watching female makeovers. It also made us realize that not everything about beauty pageants is superficial.
1. While You Were Sleeping
Sandra plays a token collector who has a crush on handsome Peter Gallagher, he suffers an accident and while he's in a comma his family mistakes her for his fiancée. This film to me, it's what turn Sandra into the Meg Ryan successor, it has the same vibe Sleepless in Seattle had and the moment Sandy and Bill get together you can't help but smile and even feel some butterflies.
