Legendary and veteran actress Yuh-Jung Youn made history as the first Korean actress to win an Academy Award. But it wouldn't be the Oscars without reporters asking terrible press room questions they wouldn't ask men.
Reporter: First of, congratulations! This is your first American film and you win an Oscar. And then as you first talked about, it was given to you by Brad Pitt, I mean my goodness! And then we saw you guys have a conversation as you guys walked off stage, so I have to ask you; What did you guys talk about and what did he smell like?
Yuh-Junh Youn: I didn't smell him, I'm not a dog. I didn't smell him *laughs it off* I've been watching him since he was young, he was a movie star for me so I couldn't believe it when he announced my name. So i maybe just blacked out a couple of minutes or seconds. I kept asking him/my friends if i did it right and if they could understand me, something like that. I'm still not myself tonight, so don't ask me a lot of questions *laughs*
Let's also clear up that Yuh-Jung Youn wasn't fangirling over Brad Pitt. His company produced the film, but he never visited the set, that's why she jokingly introduced herself on stage.
Edit: Apparently he never showed up to set, or met them or gave them money for things like their many trips to and from Korea so they had to pay the flights out of pocket even though he was a producer of the film and his company made it. Yuh-Jung Youn talked about how poor the cast was treated and how annoyed she was at him and this comment was part of her frustration. credit: sabrina54
