Sony and Netflix have announced a new 5-year agreement that will see the film studio gives the streaming service exclusive access to its titles starting next year. That means films like Venom 2, Uncharted, and Morbius will debut on the service when their theatrical runs wrap.
Starting in 2022, Netflix will be the first US streaming home for Sony Pictures films following their theatrical releases. Netflix will also be the home for the studios direct-to-streaming films, some of which will be produced by Netflix itself. It will also license older films from Sony's catalog.
