YA author Emily Duncan gets called out on her racism, antisemitism and bullying of other authors

Emily Duncan, author of another one of those mediocre ~slavic~ fantasy series (feat. Reylo), has been getting rightfully dragged on twitter bc of her antisemitc books and her behind the scenes bullying of poc authors. Author Hafsah Faizal has confirmed that she was the one Emily Duncan was talking trash about, as mentioned by fellow author Rin Chupeco.

"admitting that she knew what she was doing with the antisemitic tropes and that she "tried to handle this in a sensitive way" but "fell short"." She knew that she was being antisemitic? Cool, cool cool cool.

Fuck this person. This isn't even some Rainbow Rowell (was that the name?) shit where she does offensive shit because she's an ignorant piece of shit.
How do you even handle antisemitic tropes in a sensitive way???

Like

????
LOL She put them into her book thinking that noone would notice. Fuckin' idiot.
how very
Damn. I just started the first book, after reading the Winternight Trilogy I was looking forward to more Slavic based folklore but had never heard of Duncan before just saw the first book pop up in my Libby app. Well glad I didn’t read further my Jewish ass isn’t trying to read more this anti-Semitic fantasy bullshit
In her burner account when she's talking about Riordan being lesbophobic or whatever, what was this?

I remember the issue with someone who wore hijab coming at him because Sam took her hijab off around Magnus and he dismissed but, but I don't remember this.
all I have to add to this is that I tried reading Emily Duncan's book and couldn't get past the second chapter bc it was so fucking bad.

On the other hand, Hafsah Faizal's book entertained me and I liked it way more.
I can't get over the really fucking stupid names
It's like I wrote this comment, haha. "We Hunt the Flame" was great. I need to get the sequel.

Wicked Saints...sucks. I got not very far in and said nah.
Holy shit that description
yeaaaahhhhhh....none of this shocks me
the villainous characters in the book, the vultures, are dark-eyed, dark-haired, vermin-like creatures who are part of a secret cabal that control the government of fantasy!poland. they practice literal blood magic and are led by a man named malachi

between this and her hard on for rodnovery... what a fucking piece of shit
