Gen Z vs. Millenials: Hair Edition

A debate is raging on TikTok that is even more divisive than politics. In fact, it's about how you divide the hair on your head.

Gen Z'ers believe that center parts are where it's at. They think that your side part makes you look like an Old! Meanwhile, Millenials + Gen X + Gen Y are into side parts.

America is split... down the center and down the sides!

Which way do u part your hair?

Ready for some hair wank? what's your hair look like now, ONTD?

My hair just kinda...exists. It doesn't part on either side anymore. I am happy that skinny jeans are on the way "out" I have literally never worn a pair. Mom jeans and straight jeans balance out my shape way more.
I do a side part because I have more hair on one side than the other!
this is so dumb. course kids/teens don't think whatever ~older people~ are wearing. and i'm really not gonna get mad when i see some of the shit they're wearing lmao

i have a huge cowlick in my fringe anyway, so I couldn't do a middle part even if i wanted to. side part just looks better on me.
tbh though i feel like most people who look good with middle parts tend to have fine/straight hair. my hair is way too thick and curly to fit a middle part. it would legitimately be horrifying, like a terribly unstyled wig.
honestly, a lot of straight-haired people look shitty with a middle-part too. makes their hair look extra-limp.

arent gen zs all teenagers? of course they have middle parts, they are children. try being taken seriously as an adult with a middle part that makes you look 12.
The older ones are in their early 20s.
My niece and nephew are gen Z and are college aged. The oldest ones are.
gen z starts at around 1996~97, so a lot of them are already in their 20's.
i hate this stupid discord. WHO THE FUCK CARES.

i went from middle, to side, then to the other side (to hide the gray), but ultimately my hair decides where it wants to go.
i am a millenial and used to do a side part but i changed it up about a month ago so now i got a middle part that makes me look like a charles manson fangirl since i can't remember the last time i got a haircut
People are delusional if they think they look good with a middle part (without bangs). NOBODY looks good with a middle part. You look like that teen heartthrob hair cut from the 90s. That's what you actually look like. Unless you have some immaculate bone structure, quit parting your hair in the middle. it makes your entire head look flat.
Devon Sawa in Casper was one of my first crushes. The first boy I had a crush on irl had that ugly cut. Why the hell was that haircut ever considered hot?
I like the side part but it never sticks, will somehow end up being center.
For the most part, my hair doesn't look good parted down the middle. There's a ton of it, and I generally make it full and flip it to the side like I'm Pamela Anderson in Barbed Wire (minus the bangs). I'm old, so I'm not sure if it looks good, or if I only think it looks good because it did when I was younger.

Honestly, it really only matters if you feel good.
i'm a millennial, i have a center part because i have bangs it's just easier that way lol.
i have textured hair and a lot of forehead & nose so i have never been able to truly rock a middle part. currently tho i have a mullet with bangs so my hair parts in the middle kinda by default lol. i'm getting shaggy af and could definitely use a trim, some days it's cute and other days i feel like a poodle!
I have curly hair. It does what it wants to do. XD
My hair natural parts on the side. God said NO, you heathen children!
Gen z has so much hubris for a generation trying to make the exposed thongs + low rise jeans combo happen again
They want to be Gen X, but will never be that cool (or carefree) lol
Tbh I finally lost the few extra pounds this past year and I'm ready for my Manny Santos moment.
I've always loved the 98-00s trends because that's what was cool when I was a young impressionable child.
I have curly hair so it's easier to keep my part center. I'm so youthful :)
