A debate is raging on TikTok that is even more divisive than politics. In fact, it's about how you divide the hair on your head.

Gen Z'ers believe that center parts are where it's at. They think that your side part makes you look like an Old! Meanwhile, Millenials + Gen X + Gen Y are into side parts.

America is split... down the center and down the sides!

combing more hair forward from your crown might help? that's what i do when i feel like my bangs look a bit sparse

I have a tapered haircut so a side part is really the only thing that would work with it, if I feel like it or get it cut into my hair for a hard part.

it naturally parts in the middle but i trained it to the side
i am an aging millennial so i guess they are right

i have to part it on the side cos my hair is long and just very straight and i start to look a bit like cousin IT cos it just hangs in my face if there is a middle parting

please don't take trend advice from ontd lol

but also do what you want and what makes you feel confident! I part my hair both ways depending on the style I'm going for, what I'm wearing, what I'm doing, etc.

I'm so lazy with my hair tbh but I'm trying to get better. I've always been a makeup and nails gal but I need to be a grown woman and learn to do a hairstyle that isn't a messy bun

I part my hair wherever it falls, but if I want volume I make sure it’s more on the right.


Also gen z = dumb as shit as evidenced by the idiots Ive worked with. I wrote millennials at first lol and I’m like wait that’s me oop

I‘ve always parted it in the middle and I didn‘t want to „train“ my hair otherwise.

But usually I pull it back anyway. It looks horrible right now due to not having seen a hairdresser in a while.
