They have such a distinctive signature. Even as their style has changed over the years, the first time I heard this, I was like, "That's Daft Punk for sure."

i'm not super familiar with their cannon but i always enjoyed the songs i came across. that's a long and impactful career and i feel for their fans, but it's nice that they got to wrap up the project in good terms with each other and their output. so few bands have a nicely encapsulated run like this.

The Around the World song and video is so seared into my brain. I don’t know where it was playing on TV all the time while I was growing up that it had that impact on me but it’s one of those things that is just so stuck in my brain that it’s basically a part of who I am now.

But I rather they part on their own terms in a good way then run something into the ground and hate each other. I wish them happiness, which I can only imagine will be easier due to no one knowing what they look like LOL
