Back in 2018, Ethan Hawke criticised the overpraising of the superhero genre in film, saying that 'Logan' was good but the rest of it was just big business that wasn't good for film.

Oh, how the worm turns. A couple years down the line, and Hawke was announcing his role in the MCU series Moon Knight alongside fellow superior thespian, Oscar Isaac.

So what changed his mind?

Well, according to his interview with The Ringer, it was said thespian, Oscar Isaac!

"A lot of it… is Oscar to me, ~~and the big fat cheque Marvel offered,~~ to be honest with you," said the actor when asked why he decided on Moon Knight after passing on several comic book roles in the past. "I find him to be a very exciting player in my field. I like what he’s doing with his life. He reminds me of the actors, when I first arrived at New York, that I looked up to. Oscar’s younger than me, and I like the way he carries himself, and I like the way he thinks. And in general, good things happen when you’re in the room with people that you like the way they think, right?!"
