Fans of GOT7, whose members left JYP Entertainment in January, didn't have to wait long for their idols to fulfill the promise they made. They released a group song titled "Encore" under a new company Warner Music Korea. Even though each of the members signed with a different company for their individual activities, the group itself did not disband unlike many groups whose contracts with original companies ended after 7 years.
The new single is a gift for fans and a member Jinyoung co-wrote the lyrics of the song - you can read the translation here.
"Encore" reached #1 on iTunes charts in many countries right after the release, including the US. It also debuted at #1 on Korean chart Genie, dethroning IU and her hit "Celebrity".
