Miranda Cosgrove posted a selfie of herself, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor on set of the iCarly revival that Paramount+ greenlit recently. The controversial creator of the show is NOT involved in the revival.
The original series aired from 2007 to 2012 on Nickelodeon, it followed Carly Shay (Cosgrove), Sam Puckett (McCurdy), and Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress), teenagers who decide to create their own web series and become an internet sensation. During its run, it was one of Nickelodeon's most successful live action series, often breaking rating records and dominating their rival network Disney Channel in ratings. Miranda Cosgrove at the time was the second highest paid young adult actress, right behind Two and Half Men's Angus T. Jones.
One of the new showrunners Jay Kogen has been tweeting fans of the shows updates about the revival, indicating where the iconic characters have been since the show ended in 2012.
I know there are Seddies and Creddies. I'm not dismissing them. But you don't know about Carly's new loves. Freddie's marriage. And Sam's new life. It's all changed. Life doesn't stand still for any of us. We move on. We grow. It's not a sad thing. It's joyous.
