Neil Patrick Harris says Casting Straight Actors to Play Gay Roles is "Sexy"

During a recent interview, It’s a Sin actor Neil Patrick Harris recently voiced his opinion on straight actors playing gay roles in Hollywood.

In the interview he says "there’s something something sexy about casting a straight actor to play a gay role, if they’re willing to invest in it."
- mentions his role on How I Met Your Mother being nothing like him
- reminds us that Queer as Folk featured straight actors playing "sexy guys behaving as leads" instead of "comic sidekicks"
- says not hiring straight actors could lead to missed opportunities
