The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that Dr. Nnedi Okorafor's award-winning book Binti will be coming to Hulu.
Hulu has handed out a script order for an adaptation of the three-part, African futuristic novella. Okorafor will co-write the script with Stacy Osei-Kuffour ('Watchmen'). Okorafor and Osei-Kuffour will also be executive producers on the series.
The award winning book (Hugo and Nebula awards) is set in a technologically and socially advanced future in Africa. It tells the story of a brilliant and rebellious young woman who is destined to lead her community. But when she’s admitted to the most prestigious academy in the galaxy, she chooses a different path that was designed for her and chooses to being adventures amongst the stars.
