Demi Lovato Has a New Docuseries About Her Overdose Coming In March

This year's virtual SXSW Film Festival will feature a world premiere of Demi Lovato's new four-part docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil as its opening headliner. The online festival will kick off March 16 and continue through to March 20.

The series, directed by Michael D. Ratner, promises to be an "intimate portrait of addiction" and will detail nearly everything leading up to the singer's near-fatal overdose in 2018, as well as her "awakenings in the aftermath." The docuseries is a follow-up to Demi's 2017 YouTube original Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, which was directed by Hannah Lux.

Demi says of the series: “It’s been two years since I came face-to-face with the darkest point in my life, and now I’m ready to share my story with the world. For the first time, you’ll be able to see my chronicle of struggle and ongoing healing from my point of view. I’m grateful that I was able to take this journey to face my past head-on and finally share it with the world."

EDIT: I took out the rumor about Nick because it hasn't been verified one way or another.
