On the heels of recent backlash from fan communities, Nintendo has earned some goodwill for itself by announcing iconic Final Fantasy 7 villain Sephiroth as the newest fighter joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. His reveal trailer was released at last night's Game Awards.
Sephiroth will be released sometime this month, at the usual DLC character cost of $5.99. More details on the character's moveset, accompanying stage, and new music will be shared during a December 17th presentation from Smash creator Masahiro Sakurai. But anyway, #FreeMelee.
