Taylor Swift Returns to Hawking Capital One Credit Cards to Fans in New Commercial

Nature is healing! Less than 48-hours after the election was called for Joe Biden, Taylor Swift is back to starring in commercials for big banks! This morning Capital One debuted a new commercial starring Swift, continuing a partnership with Capital One that provides perks for Swifties with credit cards.

This comes after monumental efforts such as posing for a front facing video telling people to vote, using the election to promote a song from her documentary, and posing for the "thought leaders" issue of V Magazine (with a 2 paragraph, obvious statement that only comments on the presidential race). The new Capital One commercial was filmed the same day that she posed for her bare-minimum social media post endorsing president-elect Joe Biden.

Earlier this weekend (the day the election was called) she participated in a livestream to hawk exclusive merch in China. No comment on the victory, or the impending run-off elections in Georgia.

Taylor has been uncharacteristically quiet since releasing her smash album, Folklore. She stopped liking posts on tumblr after a fan called her out for not openly supporting Black Lives Matter. Although this motivated her to speak up, she hasn't liked a post on tumblr since.

Although she isn't interacting with fans as often as she used to, she is still keeping quite busy this summer, sucking up to the country music industry! Less than a year after promoting a documentary that openly compared her "activism" to that of The Chicks, she is now working to court the institutions that once shunned them. Over the past few months Taylor serviced her single Betty to country radio, performed it on the ACMs and presented at the CMT Awards. She made no appearances at the VMAs or Billboard Music Awards.
