ONTD Original: Favorite tv scenes

It all started because this tweet, where people were quoting about their favorite tv scenes so i started to remember my favorite ones and decided to make this post. There will be spoilers of several tv shows so be careful, i warned you:

1. The Americans - Philip and Elizabeth fight - 4x08 The Magic of David Copperfield V: The Statue of Liberty Disappears

This scene lives in my mind rent free, it's one of my favorite scenes from the whole show and especially when Elizabeth says "I'm stuck with you because i took you back, after you slept with the woman who had your son and you lied to my face about it" ICONIC, Legendary, out if this world, give Keri Russell the emmys, the Golden Globes, the SAGs, the Oscars, the Tonys, The Grammys, she deserves it all.

2-Succession - Kendall Blames Logan - 2x10 - This is not for tears

Kendall, the good son, the one who has been doing everyting Logan asked him to, betraying his father was something nobody expected him to, or at least everyone was surprised he did it while a press conference when Logan couldn't do anything about it, also the top notch acting makes this scene perfection and just makes the hype bigger for the 3rd season of the show.

3 - Better Call Saul - "Kim faces off againt Lalo" - 5x09 Bad Choice Road

This scene is one of the most intense and nerve wrecking things i ever watched, it's just 5 minutes but they feel like an hour, Rhea Seehorn and Tony Dalton deserved to get a nomination AT LEAST for their work here, but the tv academy keeps snubbing them.

4 - Watchmen " Hooded Justice talks to Judd Crawford" - 1x06 "This Extraordinary Being"

This episode is tv perfection and it needs to be recognized as one of the best tv episodes ever made along with Ozymandias (BrBa) , there are other scenes that are very impactful but i chose this one in particular because it's about Will Reeves (who is the secret identity of the first known hero: Hooded Justice) getting some kind of retribution for what happened to him, Louis Gossett, Jr. gaves a wonderful performance that got him an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a Limited Series, the whole episode is full with great scenes, deserved all the accolades.

5- Breaking Bad "Hank gets killed by Jack" - 5x14 "Ozymandias"

Of course Ozymandias had to be on this list, the episode isn't considered one of the best episodes ever made for nothing. Everyone was at their top of their game for this episode that deserved all the awards it got but this scene especially was the one that stuck with me the most considering everything that happened: Hank gets killed in front of Walt, the nazis get almost all of Walt's money, Walt tells to Jessee he killed Jane, that episode and this scene in particular was a ride.

6- How to Get Away with Murder - "Why is your penis on a dead girl's phone?" - 1x04 - Let's Get to Scooping

Everything about this scene is perfect, Annaliese removing her makeup while "No one is here to sleep" by Bastille plays and then she says to her husband "Why is your penis on a dead girl's phone?" something that nobody expected, let's be real, with another actress that line would even have been cringey but Viola Davis' fantastic acting made the scene, i'm sure that was what gave her the Emmy and rightfully so.

Honorable Mentions:

Malcolm in the Middle "The Golf Cart Sinking" - 4x03 - Family Reunion
LOST - "Desmond Calls Penny" - 4x05 - The Constant
The Americans "Philip and Stan garage confrontation" - 6X10 START
The Americans "Philip and Elizabeth arrive at Moscow" - 6x10 START
