Evil corporations be evil. NZK Productions is suing Luke Parker, a contestant on the reality show The Bachelor, $100,000 for making appearances that were not permitted by his contract.
Every contestant has to sign a super strict contract involving non-disclosure, non-competition, and more stuff. Apparently they sign away their rights to make media appearances without the permission.
The lawsuit reveals the super strict conditions regarding what contestants can and cannot do:
- Contestants may not reveal “any information or events he witnessed or learned as a contestant"
- Contestants may not make any media appearances for one year without permission
- Contestants may not say "any negative or disparaging remarks about the series and/or its principals, employees or affiliates, at any time”
Which celebs do you want to break their non-disclosure agreements?
