A woman in Texas is suing Brad Pitt for $100,000 for allegedly bailing on a charity appearance.
But here's the twist: His people say that she was catfished by a cyber fraud who was pretending to be Brad.
Kelli Kristina sent $40,000 to "Brad Pitt" to appear at charity events that she was throwing for his foundation. "Brad Pitt" apparently also discussed marrying her. But when he failed to show up, she filed the lawsuit.
Says Pitt's lawyers:
“This is a sad case of someone who was the victim of an online celebrity internet scam that had nothing to do with the actual celebrity.”
