For the past three months, I’ve worked with an extraordinary cast and crew on a film we can’t wait to share with the world. Even though we'll have to wait a bit longer, it will all be worth it. Let’s stay healthy and take care of each other until then. pic.twitter.com/vnGzhHs4nR— Colin Trevorrow (@colintrevorrow) October 6, 2020
Director Colin Treveorrow announced on Twitter that Jurassic World: Dominion has been moved from June 11, 2021 to June 10, 2022. He also revealed a teaser poster for the movie.
Apparently the delay is not production related, which wraps in 3 weeks. Studio insiders say Dominion is a huge priority for NBCUniversal, and that it involves a myriad of theme park tie-ins, merchandising partnerships, live events and more. Universal and Amblin want to ensure that deadlines for retail partners can be met.
