Amazon has acquired the worldwide rights to a Borat sequel titled "Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan". The film will stream on Amazon on October 23rd, 10 days before election day.
The film was filmed in secret during COVID-19 shutdown, just as shooting restrictions were eased in the US.
Netflix reportedly offered $80M for the movie, but Amazon outbid them at $120M.
