Black Widow, West Side Story, and others get new release dates

Disney has further delayed the release of Black Widow. It will now be released in theaters on May 7, 2021, a full year after its initial release date.

Because of that, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, initially set for that date, is moving to July 9. Eternals is also moving from its February 12, 2021 date to November 5, 2021.

West Side Story is another film moving an entire year from December 18, 2020 to December 10, 2021.

Death on the Nile has been pushed to from October 23 to December 18. Fox's The Empty Man is being moved up from its December 4 date to occupy the spot DotN had. Another fox film, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas' Deep Water, is moving from November 13 to August 13.

Pixar's Soul, for now, remains at its November 20 date. The French Dispatch is also still missing from the newly-made calendar.

With no major films now coming until Thanksgiving, it's extremely hard to imagine movie theaters operating on a daily basis, if not outright closing until then.
