onTD ORIGINAL: 6 tv-shows I started to watch but know I will never finish.

Just 6 tv-shows that I once watched and then decided to quit but not in a "I saw like 2 episode and realized I didn't like it" kinda way more like "youknowwhat I don't want to watch you any more" kinda way.

bye 😘

How to get away with Murder (2014-2020)

Watch until: Season 1, and i'm pretty sure Netflix (at the times) only had the first season so I think that plays a big part way I never picked it up again, and once it had more season I was over it and it seems like it doesn't get better anyway.

About: A sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor. They become entangled in a murder plot that will shake the entire university and change the course of their lives.

Westworld (2016 – )

Watch until: Season 2. Season 3 doesn't look good to me, and I really enjoyed season two but when I saw the trailer for season 3 I just kinda felt that I was over this show.

About: A sci-fi drama set in an Old West theme park where guests interact with automatons in scenarios that are developed, overseen and scripted by the park's creative, security and quality assurance departments. Based on the 1973 feature film directorial debut by Michael Crichton.

Veep (2012–2019)

Watch until: Season 5 I think? I just realized that I didn't enjoy it so I just decided to quit it.

About: Former Senator Selina Meyer has accepted the call to serve as Vice President of the United States. The job is nothing like she imagined and everything she was warned about. 'Veep' follows Meyer and her staff as they attempt to make their mark and leave a lasting legacy, without getting tripped up in the day-to-day political games that define Washington.

The Walking Dead (2010 – )

Watch until: I saw the first 2 episode of season 8 and once I realized that this season will just be another "this could be a 10 min scene but lets drag it out for 4 episodes again" season I stopped watching and I don't plan to ever pick it up.

About: Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes gets shot and falls into a coma. When awoken he finds himself in a Zombie Apocalypse. Not knowing what to do he sets out to find his family, after he's done that, he gets connected to a group to become the leader. He takes charge and tries to help this group of people survive, find a place to live and get them food. This show is all about survival, the risks and the things you'll have to do to survive.

Big Little lies (2017 - 2019)

Watch until: Season 1 and honestly I feel like I did finish this show, screw season 2 we didn't need a season 2 okay!

About: When Madeline and Celeste take new-in-town single mom Jane under their wing, none of them realize how the arrival of Jane and her inscrutable little boy will affect them all. Big Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, schoolyard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

Watch until: Season 3 and this season was so bad (seriously why did the "try" to humanizing Bryce??) and consider the trailer for season 4 looked like they would to the same to Monty (+ Bryce)..just no, no thanks the show never needed to go on after season 1 so yeah, I won't be finish you.

About: Thirteen Reasons Why, based on the best-selling books by Jay Asher, follows teenager Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers a group of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) -his classmate and crush-who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah unfolds an emotional audio diary, detailing the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, Thirteen Reasons Why weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect viewers.

Lol three of these are also me: Westworld, 13 Reasons Why, and Walking Dead. I stopped the first two after the first season and TWD after Glenn died.

You should finish Big Little Lies though, it's good!
Those same 3 for me lol
Yeah, Glenn's death just made me too angry to keep watching TWD, especially since it had already been quite bad. And it used to be my favourite show at some point...
Same. It felt so cheap
I’ve seen exactly 0 of these shows outside of clips.
the last two Veep season were trash

i dont think i ever finished New Girl
I’d even include Veep season 5 in the trash pile, so make it the last 3 seasons, aka the David Mandel years. Season 5 is the start of the downfall.

yup! i'm rewatching seasons 2-4 pretty regularly, like once a year, but once it's the end of season 4 i'm done. i watched 5 on the initial airing and it was already going downhill but still got its moments sometimes, and then season 6 was such a dumpsterpile i gave up 2 episodes in

- 13 Reasons Why (I got to the end of s2 and was like...nope)
- Grey's (I went in and out of watching, but I lost a lot of interest when Mark & Lexie died)
- Revenge (I think I stopped around when Daniel died? I meant to pick it back up again but kind of lost interest)
- The Walking Dead (I stopped when Carl died)
- All of the Chicago shows (I stopped P.D. when Sophia left, Fire I think when Monica left and then Med at the beginning of s5. The Will/Natalie stuff became exhausting and I feel like that franchise is gonna go on forever)
Revenge! It had such a good start but went so far off the rails in season 2.
The Crown and Happy Endings
I totally fell off The Crown train in season 2 and picked it back up in the last week and am almost caught up. I think that's one that I need to be in a certain mood for.
I haven’t finished The Good Place cause the last season has been such a chore to get through

I wanna finish New Girl eventually
i saw the first season of breaking bad and then just never continued even tho all the seasons were available on netflix at that point. i didn't dislike it or anything, i just never felt compelled to keep going.
I came here to say this haha. I started season two and it was sooo slow, I felt like nothing was moving. So I dropped it
Yeah I'm never gonna finish Walking Dead I don't care.

I've actually started watching Degrassi Junior High and will move onto Degrassi High. I'm in a groupchat on twitter and have made a bunch of Degrassi friends who've encouraged me to watch them. I've only ever seen Next Gen and on so already it's cute.

Id be tempted to watch the very last episode of The Walking Dead just to see how they end it

but knowing theyre spinning off Daryl and Carol makes me mad they won't kill the greasy fucker so like meh
I’m rewatching TNG from season 9!
I am in the middle of a degrassi rewatch. I'm on season 11 right now. It's been a crazy ride.
what tv-shows did you start but won't finish??

Jane the Virgin. Jane already became insufferable before the final season but after they decided to bring Michael back just to shit on him, I was like, Nope, can’t watch this mess anymore.

The Vampire Diaries was another. They screwed over Bonnie SO much and I got tired of it.

Weeds I started out enjoying but the scene where Nancy’s brother takes her kid to a rub and tug was just...yikes. Her entire family was terrible.

How to Get Away with Murder was actually another one but I didn’t find any of the characters likeable enough to root for them.
TWD: the spinoff (i forgot the name lol). i didn't like the actors in the first episode and never finished it

Yeah I made it halfway through the last season of JtV before Gina's racist antics made me actively dislike her face and I couldn't stand watching it anymore.
Same with Jane the Virgin, I don't I've ever quit a show so close to the end but I was just absolutely done after the way they treated Michael
I think I stopped watching Weeds around the time Nancy was the owner of some clothing store? But it was a front for her weed business? Or something? lol.
I finished the first two seasons of HTGAWM and it was already a rollercoaster and yet... I still didn't care? lol
I gave up on TVD at the first hint that Delena was about to happen and just never finished
Besides Walking Dead my list is basically the same. I'm currently catching up on Gotham too. Not the best DC show but it's enjoyable most of the time. Queen Barbara <3
The only show I tried on this list is TWD. It got boring and repetitive so long ago...
The L word
Hahaha, I recently went back and skimmed over the final season. You made the right choice.
i wish i was as brave as op to give up on westworld as soon as they did

i only made it past season 1 of how to get away with muder and pll lol
You are absolutely right to not watch season 3 of Westworld. That show was my fave and I'm one of the few who loved S2 as well (it wasn't as flawless but its highs were higher and some of the show's best episodes were in that season) but with S3 it became so generic. How disappointing. :(
I paid for a month of HBO just to watch S3 of WW. I think I got through 3 episodes before I just couldn't go any further. The original score goes off, though. I've listened to it at least 3-4 times straight through.
For me it’s Lost, Gotham, others I can’t think of right now. I watched HTGAWM until that house fire, the first season was so good but at that point I just didn’t really feel like watching it anymore.
