Frederick "Toots" Hibbert, lead singer and songwriter of the reggae group Toots and the Maytals passed away on Friday in Kingston, Jamaica at the age of 77.
At the end of August, it was reported on his Facebook page that the singer was hospitalized at the ICU and awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.
Just before his hospitalization, the band released a new album, Got To Be Tough.
