Variety reports that TikTok star Addison Rae Easterling, or Addison Rae, is set to star in the upcoming remake of the 1999 teen comedy “She’s All That.”
The gender-swapped reboot, titled “He’s All That,” has been in the works for years. Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday) is set to direct.
The film will reimagine the plot from a teenage girl’s perspective, with Rae casted in a role inspired by Freddie Prinze Jr. from the original. She’s All That was about a popular high school jock who, after a bet, turned a nerdy, unpopular girl into the prom queen.
R. Lee Fleming, who wrote the 1999 movie, will pen the remake. Fleming is also working with “She’s All That” producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay. Miramax will produce the film.
Addison Rae, 19, has over 58 million followers on TikTok, making her the second-most followed person on platform. She has signed with WME and Forbes reported that she made an $5 million last year from various endorsement deals.
