Producer Marshmello dropped his latest single today, a collaboration with pop powerhouse Demi Lovato entitled "OK Not to Be OK." The release coincides with World Suicide Prevention Day, organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) to raise awareness around the globe that suicide can be prevented, in collaboration with the non-profit Hope for the Day.
In a tweeted statement, Marshmello wrote, "Suicide prevention starts with a conversation we're not having with our mental health due to stigma. The first step to breaking that silence is dispelling stigmas of fear, judgment and shame about our internal experiences. We achieve that by proclaiming it's OK not to be OK."
