Tyler Joseph of 21 Pilots ignores fan's pleas to use his platform, makes joke instead

Fans of Twenty One Pilots have been reaching out to the band members asking them to use their massive social platforms to rally support for the Black Lives Matter movement, or to even really say anything meaningful in a year rife with civil unrest. Instead, lead singer Tyler Joseph decided to mock them by making this post. In case he deletes, it's a picture of him wearing massive platform sneakers with the caption, "you guys keep asking me to use my platforms. feels good to dust these bad boys off."

Needless to say, their fans were not cool with the joke. In case you were wondering if the other band member is equally the worst, drummer Josh Dun liked the post.

editing to add a note that OP personally doesn’t think celebs owe anyone an opinion or need to vocally support anything if they don’t want to, but does think it’s yikes to do this instead of just staying quiet.
