Indie Film Release Guide: August 28th [An ONTD Original]

ONTD Indie Release Guide Graphic.png

This weekend is flush with new indie releases, most of which are available for home consumption. Unfortunately, The Personal History of David Copperfield joins 20th Century Fox’s wide release The New Mutants in being available only in theaters. But as someone who has already seen (and loved!!) David Copperfield, I assure you that you won’t miss much of anything waiting for a home release. And FYI - Lingua Franca, which was featured in the August 14th post, is now available to watch on Netflix.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. All films listed will be available at their respective sources on Friday unless otherwise noted. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have already come to VOD: August 21st, August 14th, and August 7th.
