There's a legend from Old Hollywood that when John Barrymore died, his friends Errol Flynn and W.C. Fields stole his corpse from the morgue to take it on one last adventure. Well, it's not just a legend anymore: it's true.
Drew Barrymore, granddaughter of John, appeared on "Hot Ones" and confirmed this story. The men apparently stole his body and propped it up for one last wild poker game. Says Drew:
"I hope my friends do the same for me."
However, she is not sure whether it did, in fact, inspire Weekend at Bernie's.
