On the return of Axios on HBO, Axios National Political Correspondent, Jonathan Swan @jonathanvswan, speaks with Trump about multiple topics including the coronavirus crisis, the Black Lives Matter movement, the November election, and U.S. Foreign Policy in Afghanistan, China, and Russia.
. On Covid, has a completely insane first grade bar graphs word salad and says again (eg in a second interview) of the +150K deaths of Americans it is what it is. He claims manuals say you can test too much [narrator: no such manuals exist, nor would they say that]. He said the USA is the lowest in numerous categories [narrator: it is not]. This whole section was completely non-sensical. He claims South Korea is faking their covid case-death numbers [nah].

. On the recent passing of Rep John Lewis, civil rights icon: Swan asks, How do you think history will remember John Lewis? I don’t know… I don’t know John Lewis. He chose not to come to my inauguration.
. On [alleged] sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell: when Swan repeatedly says she’s been arrested on charges of sex trafficking, he says Well, big deal… her boyfriend died in jail, was it suicide-was he killed, I do, I wish her well.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay Tweet
He doubles down as some kind of personal etiquette for people behind bars. I know five boys who were incarcerated that he didn’t wish well. He said: “I want them to suffer” and called for their deaths. Add this to the avalanche of lies we shrug off until his next one. https://t.co/ZKm6sZlObB

He cannot bring himself to say anything negative about child sex trafficking. He is not disgusted at all. He shows no concern for victims. He just needs her to know he has her back. He did this with Manafort, Stone, Flynn and generally with people who have dirt on him. https://t.co/X7aL30lbez

If you speak the truth, if u tell us about what you have seen behind closed doors, the stuff we only glimpse when a journalist corners POTUS, as Swan did, u have a slim chance that some will see the courage it took. There might still be a future for u. It will be hard. 4/
