"If you can't respect our national anthem, get the hell out of the country," Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Mike Ditka said about kneeling athletes. "That's the way I feel. Of course, I'm old- fashioned." https://t.co/q4ORrGpWsE— CNN (@CNN) July 27, 2020
In light of current events, athletes from every sport has taken a kneel during the national anthem to show solidarity against police brutality and racism. This display has been globally adopted to show continued unity and support of the black lives matter movement. Cranky, Old and most likely Racist White Man Mike Dicka has different sentiments on kneeling stating that "If you can't respect our national anthem, get the hell out of the country". After months of civil unrest, murders and protests people still don't get the premise of kneeling. Dicka justifies his response with, "That's the way I feel. Of course, I'm old- fashioned." No word if Dicka will be joining 45 and Brett Farve on the golf course.
