[Geniophobia]Geniophobia — Fear of chins
Most people with this phobia feel obsessed with other people's chins, constantly looking at them and assessing their aesthetics. They may avoid interacting with people whose chins they consider ugly, even becoming introverts altogether in extreme cases.

[Pteridophobia]
Pteridophobia — Fear of ferns

The fear of ferns can be attributed to many of their qualities, including their spidery or uncurling look, their size, their prehistoric vibe, their "vascular" description, or the fact that some ferns can be poisonous to humans. Pteridophobes may avoid taking paths with fern, stay away from gardens, or avoid going to events where they might have to see or deal with ferns. Fun fact: Sigmund Freud was a pteridophobe.

[Xanthophobia]
Xanthophobia — Fear of the color yellow

The common root of this fear is a traumatic experience with something yellow, like a bee or school bus. Sufferers will avoid yellow objects as much as possible, including yellow foods, and might even close their eyes when peeing.

[Octophobia]
Octophobia — Fear of the number eight
Octophobia can be a result of feeling repulsed by the looping shape of the number, which spirals into a never ending curve that induces dizziness. It can also be tied to superstitions rooted in numerology: 8 is the sum of the digits in 26, which is double 13, which is probably the most widely reviled number. Some people also believe more than its fair share of disasters and tragedies happen on the 26th day of the month. Finally, 8 looks like the infinity symbol turned on end, and many people experience a visceral discomfort with the idea of boundlessness — which is its own phobia (apeirophobia) when severe enough.

[Xerophobia]
Xerophobia — Fear of dryness
This fear of dryness can apply to being in a desert environment, encountering textures like dry sand, being extremely thirsty/parched, or having dry skin. Xerophobes will try to live in humid climates or use a humidifier at all times, over-moisturize their skin, over-water their lawns, or drink way more water than they need to.

[Optophobia]
Optophobia — Fear of opening one’s eyes

People might be afraid to see the world around them if they have witnessed something gruesome like an accident or injury, or this fear might coexist with another phobia that makes the idea of accidentally seeing a certain object or occurrence so terrifying that it's more comfortable not to look. But some optophobes do have the fear without any obvious cause.
