ONTD Original: Monthly Movie Challenge - July

Another 10-task challenge. You obviously don’t need to do all 10 tasks, choose as many as you want, but I figured it gives you some variety and allows you to pick and choose movies that fit your taste but also maybe lead you to watch something you wouldn’t normally seek out. For each task, you can pick whatever movie fits within the guidelines, I've added links to help you out. I tried to add tasks that would allow you to get movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and/or Hulu – but there’s also Kanopy and Hoopla (both of which you can get free access through your library or university). Have a different movie for each task – that is, don’t have the same movie for task 2 and task 6.

1. For some reason movie theaters are planning to open back up, y'know during a pandemic... Watch any movie at home. Literally don't go to the movies, stay home and watch ANY MOVIE (Unless you live in like New Zealand, in which case I'm jealous).
2. I live in Florida which stupidly reopened everything and then saw record numbers of new COVID cases. Watch any movie about government incompetence or corruption.
3. The French Dispatch was supposed to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival then have a wide release this month. Those plans have obviously been cancelled. Pick any actor featured in The French Dispatch and watch one of their previous movies.
4. Airplane! celebrates it's 40th anniversary this month, watch any Parody/Spoof movie (some ideas here).
5. I've been finding it hard to pay attention lately, watch any movie that is 90 minutes or less.
6. Watch any movie off the Official Top 100 Narrative Feature Films By Black Directors list.
7. I'm 41% (234 out of 563) of the way through my dumbass idea to watch every movie ever nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Watch any movie off that list.
8. Watch any heist movie.
9. Rotten Tomatoes asks actors/directors/whatever to pick 5 of their favorite movies, pick someone you like and watch one of their favorite movies.
10. Google is telling me Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation came out 5 years ago this July, watch any spy movie.

ONTD, what do you plan on watching this month? What did you watch during the month of June?

SOURCES: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
