Social media was ablaze on Monday after the cover art was revealed for deceased rapper Pop Smoke's upcoming LP.
Off-White creator Virgil Abloh, who was paid an estimated $25,000 to design the artwork, revealed the cover on his Instagram.
This what he came up with:

Virgil, who is also the artistic director for Louis Vuitton's menswear, explained the origin of the design in an Instagram post, which has since been deleted: ""The last conversation I had with @realpopsmoke was about what we we were gonna to do in the future. This album cover was one of like 5 things we talked about. He mentioned his story felt like the metaphor of a rose & thorns growing from concrete of of his hood in Canarsie, Brooklyn."
