Landmark SCOTUS decision ruled that LGBTQ community are protected by workplace discrimination. Gorsuch wrote the affirmative opinion. Alito, Kavanaugh, and Thomas were the only 3 dissenting, which means Chief Justice Roberts also voted with the affirmative. Alito has an interracial marriage, also decided upon by SCOTUS so, irony re/civil discrimination. Decision affects employment but doesn’t expand to healthcare, housing, etc, which should be addressed. House bill to protect civil rights across all mediums has been on hold due to McConnell.
